Find Intuition And Clarity With 6Th Chakra Malas

This is the sixth of a series that will inform you about the benefits of wearing your mala and saying your mantra for each of the seven chakras.

With the recent increased awareness of the many healing benefits of gemstones, mantras and malas, why not adorn yourself with jewelry that is both sacred and beautiful.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel and refers to a system of seven basic energy centers that carry energy, or prana, throughout the body. Open and balanced chakras lead to optimal health, vitality and consciousness.

The sixth chakra, also called the third eye, is located between and slightly above our eyes and represents our “inner knowing” and intuition.  The element is light, which gives us a clear path to our soul’s purpose where there is liberation and a consciousness that is limitless. This chakra is oriented to self-reflection and archetypal identity.

If out of balance, we may become overly logical, authoritarian or close-minded. It may be difficult to concentrate in the midst of feeling fear and stressed.   If functioning, we feel highly intuitive, in touch with our soul’s purpose, and may experience unusual phenomena.

This chakra is linked to the color indigo and the planets Neptune and Jupiter. Deep chanting, mantras, music or sound that helps visualization work best with this chakra.

The possible physiological benefits for a balanced sixth chakra are a healthy and vital nervous system, including the spine and brain, ears, eyes and nose.  The gland is the  pituitary.

Gemstones:

Lapis lazuli helps with detaching and meditating into uncharted depths of emptiness where a wealth of information can be accessed. It is the stone of royalty.

Clear quartz works on all chakras and amplifies the energy of other stones. Encourages higher states of consciousness and helps move energy through the entire system.

Gold is a great conductor of energy and can help repair damage at a cellular level.

Mantra: “I breathe in my inner knowing which allows me to clearly see my truth in every moment.  I am highly intuitive and in touch with my soul’s purpose.”  To see this beautiful mala, go to http://celedra.com/malas/chakra/index.htm.

We invite you to wear your mala and recite your mantra for 21 days for full transformation and alignment to occur.

Each of our malas come with its own life-affirming mantra (“prayer”, in Sanskrit) and represents a convergence of ancient spiritual tradition and modern beauty: The simplicity of gemstones is known to have healing qualities and, when worn around the wrist, is a constant reminder of the sacred within each of us. About the Author

Celedra Gildea, PhD, a psychotherapist by profession, began designing malas, or prayer beads, in 1995 in order to support her spiritual practice in Tibetan Buddhism. In 2007 she went to Tibet to start a non-profit cottage industry for the Nangchen, training local Tibetan women in the making of malas. Then, she and her team took a harrowing car ride up the treacherous roads to the nunnery, where the malas were placed on the alter to receive the prayers and blessings of the nuns. Today, she is devoted to providing objects of art for you and your home with malas, jewelry and home décor that help create the sacred in everyday life.
