what store sells Mala beads for meditation?
I was planning to take my first step in improving the quality of my life buy going to an ashram. I want to know where one would go about finding Mala beads.
Like a physical store that sells them maybe? if not ill buy 1 online.

Physical stores that sell malas will depend upon where you live. Not an easy task especially not knowing where you live. Here are a few sites that I have purchased malas and/or practice materials from and found them to be above board. They are reputable and honest and I’m sure there are other sites equally reputable. You mention an ashram and most of the sites specialize in Buddhist malas but one of the sites, Destination OM, also specialize in Hindu malas

Regardless of where you obtain your mala it’s only good if you use it.
Of course, you can make your own mala by obtaining beads from a craft store.
Just be aware that beads made of semiprecious stones are heavy and the cord that strings the beads together may (will?) eventually wear and break but maybe that’s auspicious since it indicates use. If you select such a mala either try to have each bead knotted separately (like a woman’s good pearl necklace) or be prepared that it probably will need to be restrung.
