
I have horrible headaches, how can I use meditation to help reduce the pain?
im 15 and know nothing of meditation. My doctor told me that if I learn to do it properly, it could help a lot with my migraines. So, advice?
I began to meditate a few months ago to help headaches, insomnia and anxiety. Let me tell you … At first, it is extremely difficult, because you have to go against what you know. Close your eyes and be in a comfortable position (preferably not in bed.) Make sure that each part of your body is relaxed. From your head and moving downward Relaxing every part of you. After that, let your thoughts drift in and out of mind without the following. The best way to do is concentrate on your breathing. Feel your chest expand and contract. Whenever your mind wanders, bring it immediately to the breathing. Another thing you can do is something beautiful picture in your mind. I always picture a giant oak near a stream.
