The worship in spirit … Why do Christians have a problem with mystical meditation?
When the woman at Jacob's well was asked to go Christ Church (Temple at the time) Christ did not respond positively, but said that the true worship in spirit worshipers. Worship in spirit is a way to know God … just like the mystics come to know God in their meditation. And indeed, the Psalms say: "Stop, and know that I am God.
