Should I be a science teacher or a dental assistant?

I am almost finished with my bachelors in psychology and I have taken several science courses with the intention of becoming a science teacher when I graduate. However, I am having second thoughts since while I was working as a teacher assistant many of the teachers I worked with were stressed out, frequently took their work home with them, and told me they wished they had chosen a different career. I recently got accepted to dental assisting school and am wondering if this is a better career choice since I’ll be able to leave my work at the office and have more of a personal life, even though there’s a reduction in pay. Does anyone have any advice?? Thanks.

Its completely up to you, you should do what you think is best to do. Don’t get put off by others.
Can’t you try working as a dental assistant for a year and see how that goes and then try teaching if you don’t like it???
